Ruth and Rupert are a design-trained husband and wife team. We launched Little Folk in May 2005, after a fantastic response to Ruth's illustrated pictures, made for our family and friends. Inspired by our two children and family pets, she went on to illustrate a whole family of happy little characters with big smiles and long striped legs.
Little Folk was born!
Little Folk started public life in a craft fair at the Leicestershire County Show in May 2005. We only made the illustrated personalised Alphabet pictures at that time and they were in great demand! We were very excited by the response to the pictures so we added bone china cups, clocks, placemats and T shirts to the range.
We printed a brochure but found that our range of gifts was expanding so rapidly it was out of date before it had been published. In 2006 we launched the Little Folk website making it possible to welcome many new customers from around the world.
Since the County Show in 2006, Rupert has travelled the length and breadth of the country to set up and manage the Little Folk stand at hundreds of shows. We regularly exhibit at many of the leading events throughout the year and enjoy meeting loyal and new customers.
We are proud to be the first choice of gifts for many people. All of our personalised children's gifts are illustrated, designed and individually made to order by us in England. We only use our own exclusive designs. We are so pleased that the Little Folk characters and gifts are loved and enjoyed by children and parents all around the world.
